Editorial policy

Sourcing rules, correction practice, and the line between commercial relationships and what gets published.

This policy governs everything published on internetadvertisingplatforms.com. It exists so a reader can tell where a number came from and what would make us change it.

Sourcing

Facts about a platform come from that platform's own documentation or from direct observation of its interface. Third-party statistics are attributed by name, date and sample size. Where two credible sources disagree, both are reported and the disagreement is stated rather than smoothed over. Where a claim cannot be verified, it is labelled as a company claim or left out.

Independence

Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into content. No platform reviews an article before publication, no placement in a ranking is for sale, and no commercial agreement contains a clause about coverage. When a platform we earn from has a weakness, the weakness is written down — a comparison that only lists strengths is an advertisement, and it is labelled as such or it does not run.

Accuracy and dates

Deposits, bids, formats and policies change frequently. Every published figure carries the date it was verified, and pages show a last-reviewed date. A page that has drifted out of date is either updated or removed; stale pages left online are a form of misinformation.

Corrections

Errors are corrected at the top of the affected section with a dated note explaining what changed. Substantive corrections are never made silently. Report an error through the contact page; include the source that contradicts us and we will check it against the vendor's documentation.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with research, structuring and editing. They do not decide what is true. Every factual claim is checked by a human against a primary source before publication, and every article is reviewed and signed by a named author who is accountable for it.

Commercial links

Affiliate links are disclosed sitewide and on every page that carries them, in line with the FTC's guidance on endorsements and native advertising. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page, and the assessment procedure is set out in the review methodology.
